What do the new fine-grained user controls mean in practice?
To ensure sensitive financial information is only seen by the right people, now you can selectively restrict user access to individual companies. This new capability meets one of Joiin’s most requested features, providing an extra layer of customisation and peace of mind for our customers.
Meeting one of our most requested features
Our new fine-grained user controls have been one our most requested features.
Firstly, for central finance teams who want to maintain a holistic view of their group, while providing granular access to a wider range of stakeholders, you can now allow regional finance teams, business owners, individual franchises, or middle managers an unrestricted view of data relevant to them.
Secondly, you can also allow someone access to the Joiin platform to view data, which means they can action reports and see performance dashboards for their company, without you having to provide access to your source Xero system. Remember: you can invite as many users as you like to access Joiin at no extra charge, as our subscription charges only relate to entities not the number of users.
“This new capability meets one of Joiin’s most requested features, providing an extra layer of customisation and peace of mind for our customers.” Harry Symons, Customer Success Manager, Joiin
Example use case
Across all use cases, a central finance team can now easily enable and cascade granular access to its group structure. For example, regional finance teams, country finance teams and individual locations.
For a large multinational business with a central finance function that brings together data from across the globe, confidential information can be seamlessly shared with relevant stakeholders to complete statutory accounts and provide board reports.
› Fine-grained user control allows regional finance teams access to their group. For example, a European finance team gaining access to European companies to analyse their region’s performance and to identify any struggling countries.
› Country finance managers could be enabled with easy access to country-specific entities for monthly reporting to the European finance team.
› Individual business owners could be granted relevant access to data for management reporting, daily usage for debt chasing, performance dashboards, and expense management.
